Shtyle.fm is a hybrid social network & virtual world. The website combines elements of social networking and virtual worlds to create a fun atmosphere for people from across the globe to meet each other. Shtyle.fm is visited by more than 8 million people from across the world every month. Shtyle users, called Shtylers, meet & communicate with people from the world over and share their news with the world. Shtylers can decorate their virtual rooms with items from a catalogue of hundreds of items to welcome visitors to their profiles.

Shtyle has several content oriented features. Shtylers can upload recordings in their own voice, submit writings, write diaries, create polls, and quizzes and participate in communities of their interest.

Shtyle features a currency system. The currency is named "Piso" and can is earned by participating in the network. When a persons content is rated or they receive comments they  earn Piso. Piso can be used to purchase gifts and items for rooms. In addition to Piso, "Gold Coins" can be collected by Shtylers, the use of gold coins is currently not known.
